The Alpine Field School 2015 had been successfully accomplished by our international students. The nine days of intensive training were part of the module Georelief and Cartography – Morphogenetic and Environmental Understanding. The module combines on-site lectures, day excursions and practical in-situ training.
During the excursions students gained knowledge in understanding topography, orientation within varying landscapes and observed local geo-features within a wider geographical context. Geodata captured with electronic methods during the excursion were a base for creation of field and thematic maps.
