The summer semester 2020 was a very special one due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Normally, students in the 4th semester are moving to one of our four university locations to start their thesis research. Due to travel and lockdown restrictions, the thesis semester was very challenging this year. These circumstances make the Cartography MSc programme even more proud of 24 fresh graduates that successfully finished their theses at TU Munich, TU Vienna, University of Twente, TU Dresden or at home.

Despite all difficulties, the pandemic also created new ideas and opportunities: For example, we were able to celebrate the great achievements of our students together with their families and friends from all over the world in a virtual graduation ceremony 🙂
