Accommodation
TU Wien has no own rooms in student residences at its disposal.

Should you wish to reserve a room at an Austrian Exchange Service (OeAD) student residence, please fill out the registration form at www.housing.oead.at After you have registered, you will be contacted by email with instructions about your next steps. Note that your reservation is only valid after you pay the deposit of approximately 950€. You will get the deposit back after having moved out of the student residence (minus charges of 18€ per month of residence). The price of a room ranges between 340€ and 620€ per month.

Prices for private accommodations usually cost more than a room in a student residence. Additionally, landlords often want to get to know tenants personally, so it might be difficult to find a flat before you arrive in Vienna. This is usually a little bit easier for shared flats, so called Wohngemeinschaften (WG). Offers for private accommodations can be found at the following websites:

www.schwarzesbrett-oeh.at/wohnen
www.wg-gesucht.de/en/ ‒ specialized on flat shares
Sports
You can enroll to any of the courses by the University Sport Institute USI, which offers an incredible range from Capoeira, to Orienteering and Scuba Diving.

There are also plenty of other opportunities for sports in the city from hiking in the Vienna Woods, jogging in Prater, inline skating on Danube Island or swimming in historic pools. Also, the entire city can be explored by bike.
