The International Girls in ICT day is recognized by 193 Member States and, in support of the day, International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Liaison Office at the United Nations (UN) and ITU Americas, UN International Computing Centre (ICC) and the Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth are collaborating on a series of online interviews by girls and young women in technology in conversation with women in technology role models as part of an initiative: “EQUALS Global Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age” (equals.org). More than 120 video recordings of such interviews have been made to date with many more in the pipeline featuring a wide range of ICT jobs and career stories and women in tech from the private sector, NGOs, government, academia, UN entities.
