Alpine Cartography Field School 2013

The Alpine Cartography School 2013 was one of the highlights of the Master Program, where students could experience mountain terrain and gain new knowledge about the morphological features and changing the environment in Alpine region. For most of them, it was the first time to be in high mountains, but the teamwork and solid geographic knowledge helped successfully accomplished this challenge.

During the trip extensive theoretical and practical work was carried out that taught students field mapping, orientation on different terrain and awareness of geological structures and topography. Several education trips introduced students working principle of salt and silver mines.
