Jan Wilkening and Malte Sohlbach from Esri Germany were our guest lecturers on 3rd February 2017. GIS specialists from Kranzberg presented the ArcGIS platform technology and concepts. Interesting examples were covering the following topics: geoprocessing and spatial analyses, storytelling with Story Maps and building geo-community. Our guests provided also learning resources for GIS as well as they presented the students’ projects and master thesis created with the use of ArcGIS platform technology. During the meeting students mapped with the use of Collector for ArcGIS App their origin countries and created on the fly a hot-spot map in ArcGIS Online. The meeting was summed up with an interesting Q&A session about possible uses of the ArcGIS technology in students’ projects and research.
