Beyond Borders and Boundaries: Congratulations to 20 years of Erasmus Mundus

This year, the Erasmus Mundus programme has its 20th anniversary. To mark this important landmark in the lifetime of the programme, the European Commission’s Directorate General for Education and Culture (DG EAC) and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) hosted a high-level 20th Anniversary conference in Brussels, on 27-28 May 2024, under the title “Beyond Borders and Boundaries: 20 years of Erasmus Mundus”. The conference was organised in a hybrid mode, foreseeing both onsite (by invitation) and online participation.

The MSc Cartography programme coordinator Juliane Cron was invited to Brussels to share her experience and taking part in the plenary panel on “Proven success factors: Maximising employability and guaranteeing programme continuity”.

A poster exhibition was another highlight of the event. The poster of the MSc Cartography was one among 20 selected inspiring posters showcasing the impact of Erasmus Mundus Master’s at individual and institutional level.

This inspiring, celebratory event was an opportunity to highlight, discuss and reflect on the multi-layered impact of Erasmus Mundus. A comprehensive Impact Study was released during the event.
