Héctor Ochoa Ortiz, alumni of the 10th intake, has been elected to the OpenStreetMap Foundation board of directors by its members at their 18th Annual General Meeting.
The OpenStreetMap Foundation is a non-profit organization supporting the OpenStreetMap project, an initiative that has been aiming to create a collaborative database of open geographical data since 2004. The foundation acts as a legal entity for the project, runs its core infrastructure, organizes fundraising efforts to allocate resources to the project activities, organizes the annual State of the Map conference, and includes Working Groups in charge of tasks like public relations, licensing, and more.
We wish Héctor a fruitful term on the board!
